According to statistics from Morning Consult, PM Modi also earned the highest approval rating among the thirteen world leaders polled last week. However, his popularity rating fell to 66% in June of this year. From August 2019 when his rating was 82%, this was almost a 20-point decline.

Political Intelligence Methodology

  • Political Intelligence, a Morning Consult-owned portal, offers real-time polling information on political elections, elected leaders, and voting-related problems. Every day, Morning Consult conducts more than 20,000 interviews throughout the globe.
  • Based on a seven-day moving average of all adults in a particular nation, the global leader and country trajectory data has an error range of +/- 1-4%. The typical sample size in the US is in the range of 45,000. The sample size in the other nations is between 500 and 5,000.
  • Online interviews are done using adult samples that are nationally representative in every case. The sample in India is representative of all literate people.
  • Each country's surveys are weighted based on demographics such as age, gender, geography, and, in certain cases, education, as determined by official government sources. Survey results are also influenced by respondents' race and ethnicity in the US. These polls are answered by respondents in the national languages.
  • Each survey's translation and localization are done by reputable translation agencies in that nation.
